As a video producer, it’s my job to work with creatives to get the best possible product for our clients.
Now “the creative type” sometimes gets a bad rap as exclusive, out of touch and highly offendable.
That’s not true – but anyway, here’s my number one tip for working with creatives. It also happens to be my number one tip for working with people.
Provide positive feedback first.

This provides a morale boost that will keep the inspiration flowing and soften any constructive criticism. Creatives pour their heart into their creations, and there is no faster way to deflate their excitement than to lead with criticism.

Lead with your positive feedback, and you’re sure to inspire even better creations to come.
