We love flashlights, but the thought of a keychain flashlight was not something we really thought about much. Most are small and not overly useful outdoors. When we found the new Nitecore T4K the mode attracted us to the light. The light is super bright, but what really sold me on this light was the data that could be gathered from the OLED screen. While using the light, we know the exact run times in each mode. If we turn on the turbo mode, it shows us how long it will last. That information can be priceless in a small light.

While using the light, we found we can use this light for over 2 hours outdoors in the 200-lumen mode with occasional turbo mode usage. That makes this light very useful. Again, in that situation, it helped a lot to know that the battery would be dead after the time expired on the screen. That allows us to secure other lighting or not to get stuck without light.

This type of information is priceless and should be included in many other larger flashlights. It would allow us to use the light less to extend out usage during a work shift or allow some comfort knowing we have a charge significant enough to get a job done.

I understand that this an expensive light. You can buy a lot of other lights for the price. But none will come with the technology this flashlight has.
