In this video, I'll walk you through the major additions in LumaLayer v1.5! I've completely redesigned the user interface to implement collapsible sidebar accordions, keeping your workspace clean and organized.
But the real star of the show is LumaMix Studio—our new photographic dithering engine.
Dithering allows you to print microscopic, high-contrast dots side-by-side on the same layers to replicate the complex tonal details of a photograph. By combining this dithered detail with your own custom-painted color masks, you can assign different sections of your print to different filament colors (like orange and blue) on the exact same layers. This mimics a true multi-material halftone print, enabling high-contrast, multi-color portraits to print beautifully on standard setups (like the Bambu Lab AMS).
I also walk through LumaMural (the modular large-format tiling engine) and the new Edge-Preserving Photo Cartoonizer inside Flat Art Studio, designed to flatten detailed photos into solid, vector-style panels.

I believe that if you buy a hammer, the hardware store doesn't own the house you build with it.
* You own 100% of the STL and 3MF files you generate.
* You are free to sell your physical prints and digital files commercially.
* You do not owe LumaLayer any royalties or attribution for your art.

📐 CRITICAL SLICER SETTINGS:
To print these models correctly, your slicer MUST use these settings:
* Layer Height: 0.08mm
* First Layer Height: 0.16mm (Base)
* Infill: 100% (Rectilinear)
* Top/Bottom Shell Layers: 4 or more
