I HAVE A SPECIFIC TYPE I GUESS??
I mean I honestly now believe that it's like the same few writers jumping from one writing room to the next and saying, “Hey yo I got an idea” and then replicating the same couple trope for every tv show/movie but at the same time morphing it into something slightly different.
There are so many parallels, I just can't. The haunted pasts, childhood trauma, abandonment, and loneliness only to find solidarity with one another. They can truly empathize with each other. They have compassion, which is why I find this couple trope to be the ideal type, at least for me. There's a basic understanding of one another, and a partnership and I think that's how a healthy relationship should work. They are both equals in their relationship.
I also love how the characterization of the female characters and the male characters are so well done that they can actually be standalone characters without romance. They don't complete each other in a sense or are each other's "other half", they'd just prefer to be together than not. They compliment each other very well to the point that they might be made for one another. They find a belonging together, which is a point I saved for the end of the edit because it is mainly why I love these couples so much. They just go well together.
The romance also isn't the only thing that makes their individual characters interesting. They are all three-dimensional, well-rounded characters, other than some fictional couples where sometimes one of them is more of a side character, a less developed character or one that doesn't partake much with the main storyline.
Well, I think that's all I need to say. I hope you guys enjoy!!
Couples and their designated tv show/movies:
1. Ben and Rey, Star Wars sequel trilogy
2. Bellamy and Clarke, The 100
3. Lucifer and Chloe, Lucifer (Netflix)
4. Killian and Emma, Once Upon a Time
5. James and Teresa, Queen of the South
6. Peter and Olivia, Fringe
Thanks for watching!! Stay safe and healthy!! ❤ ❤ ❤

insp by vordeels twitter edit of TUA S1 - https://twitter.com/voordeel_ts/status/1104831862080454656
I became addicted to this song after hearing it and I was dying to edit to it. I wanted to try something different, like extremely different. Also wanted it to be quirky and odd by mashing up the comic and the cartoons, so I hope I accomplished that.
I hope you guys like it :) I know the song is really funky but I just love it. If you hate it, Im sorry lmao.
Thanks for watching! Stay safe and healthy! ❤ ❤

I wanted to quickly get this posted with HD footage, mainly because this is probably one of the few reylo edits I have made that I am proud about :) I hope you guys enjoy!
Old description - [Wow, this song... I absolutely LOVE Agnes Obel, shes one of my favorite musicians and this is one of her recent pieces. I just fell in love with it immediately :))
I never caught this parallel, but when Han talks about his son turning against Luke, it also parallels with him betraying snoke and Palpatine for Rey. Han’s quote can also refer to Rey as well, as she disregards Palpatines wishes in striking him down. She deceives him, and she gives Ben her lightsaber. They deceive for the sake of each other.
With this edit, I wanted to solely focus on them being a dyad, but it also kind of took on all aspects of their dynamic, which I realize by the time I finished this. It’s about them being a dyad, connected through the force, as enemies and as almost lovers. I also want this certain flow from clip to clip, like you’re watching them dance. Its never-ending.
Sorry if this seems messy, I kept on rendering it over and over and and I really tried to make it... not messy? lmao.
EDIT: Also to add, after rewatching it over, they completely mirror each other. They are each others equals, and that shows during their fight on the wreckage of the Death Star. In TFA, Rey was the one to bring Ben down, and in TROS, it was Ben that brought Rey down. Thought that was an interesting parallel. Lukes lightsaber breaking in half, the ground splitting between them, the breaking of the pedestal that Darth Vaders mask rested upon, all these moments symbolize that they are two halves of protagonist. Of them being equals in the force.]
