The product of a rainy bank holiday Monday, and procrastination from doing work (oops!).
It’s been a long time since I made a multi-couples video that focused solely on soap couples, and I’ve been loving the new scenes of a lot of these couples recently, so I decided to make this.
I tried to include a range of couples that I ship across the 4 soaps I included. I no longer watch Neighbours, and only watch Hollyoaks occasionally at the gym lol, so those shows have fewer couples featured.

This won 3rd place in the L.O.V.E contest hosted by xOnceEAgainx.
So I decided instead of doing a set number of couples to just do any couples that fit the lyrics, as I love this song. So basically what Im saying is this video has no logic or order, I just did a whole bunch of couples I love, some fit more lyrics than others, so are in multiple times, some for just a second. I had so much fun making this video after being on hiatus for so long! I really miss vidding!

Happy (slightly late) Valentine’s Day!
I tried so hard to get this finished, but life got in the way :(

I decided this time around to challenge myself (and also to not just repeat the exact same top 10 haha!) by only allowing ships from shows that are still airing and ships that still have a chance at being endgame on those shows (so ships where a character has left are fine, but not where a character has died, as the couple can never be endgame.) Some of these couples I class as OTPs and some I just love, some might not make a top 10 of all time, but they’re a top 10 of right now.
My Top 10 current ships (the couples appear in a random order, as I have 3 couples that repeated from last time, and I wanted to vid a different part of the song for them):
~Jo & Alex (Grey’s Anatomy)
Alex is one of my favourite characters on Grey’s and all I wanted was for him to be happy. When Jo came along I just fell in love with them as a couple. I think these two are the perfect example of two people who both have a lot of baggage coming together and overcoming it together.
~Ciara & Ben (Days of our Lives)
These two!!! I have fallen in love with them so fast! The good girl and the bad boy, watching them fall for each other has been awesome and they have a real Romeo & Juliet vibe with Ciara’s family not wanting them to be together. Can’t wait to see more of them!
~Jake & Amy (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
OMG these two! I am obsessed! It’s so lovely to see such a healthy relationship portrayed on TV. No drama, just two best friends who love and respect each other and fell in love in the process. They’re super cute!
~Will & Natalie (Chicago Med)
I love these two, the ultimate friends to couple story but also so angsty, so perfect for this song!
~Jason & Sam (General Hospital)
My first ship and my OTP forever, Ive been shipping these two for going on 15 years now and they have been through pretty much every situation imaginable! I’ve loved seeing them find their way back to each other now Steve is back on the show!
~Benson & Cassidy (Law & Order: SVU)
The first episode I ever watched of SVU was the three-part episode where Cassidy returns after 13 years and I fell for these two instantly. He is by far (in my opinion!) the best boyfriend Olivia has ever had and it was sweet watching him look after her in the aftermath of William Lewis. I have hope that these two will be reunited (but if not, I will enjoy any scenes they do share whenever he drops in for a visit – roll on Thursday!)
~Cristina & Owen (Greys Anatomy)
I loved these two together - theyve been through so much and they always find their way back to each other. Even though things could never work between them, and Sandra has left the show, I believe that people who are meant to be together will always find their way in the end, and I have hope that when the show ends, Cristina will come back to Seattle and back to Owen!
~Eric & Nicole (Days of our Lives)
I just love how passionate these two are – they are both such talented actors and their scenes are always amazing whether they’re angsty or fluffy. I’m so glad Arianne is returning to the show and I have hope that these two will get back together!
~Lindsay & Halstead (Chicago PD)
Aah, these two. They had me from “that’s why you have back up” in the pilot and for 4 glorious seasons I watched them be off again and on again and rooted for them all the way. I’m sad Erin has left, but I have hope that she will return one day and we will get our Linstead endgame!
~Will & Sonny (Days of our Lives)
I fell in love with these two even before I started watching Days. Id seen so much of them on tumblr and twitter, that I decided to start watching the show and then when I went back to watch their entire story I fell in love as they did. I was so happy when Will came back and I have loved watching them fall in love all over again!

For the contest, we had to make a multi-fandom video with a unique theme, so for my theme I chose ‘characters who struggled to come out to unsupportive family members’ (a bit long winded, I know).
I decided to focus on just 4 characters and their family members, some have just one family member who was unsupportive, and some have multiple. I also tried to show at the end how even though some people were unsupportive, they still had friends/boyfriends/girlfriends who were supportive and fought for them.
Characters:
~Callie Torres (Grey’s Anatomy) and her parents (predominantly her father, but I also featured some clips with her mother), Callie’s father struggled to accept her at first, as her being gay went against his beliefs, however, he eventually came to accept her sexuality and even stood up to his wife in order to dance with his daughter at her wedding.
~Will Horton (Days of our Lives) and his parents (again, predominantly his father). Whilst Will’s mum was shocked at first, she soon came around, unlike his father, who took a little longer to accept Will.
~Emily Fields (Pretty Little Liars) and her mother. Emily’s mum was at first ‘sickened’ by Emily coming out, but eventually came to accept her daughter.
~ S a n t a n a L o p e z (G l e e) and her grandmother. S a n t a n a finally plucked up the courage to tell her grandmother that she is gay, but her grandmother refused to accept it. It is unknown whether she still feels like this.

S a n t a n a: “Everyone’s gonna know now. Because of you”
F i n n: ”The whole school already knows and they don’t care”
S a n t a n a: “Not just the school, you idiot – everyone.”
Emily: “I’m glad you’re ok with it”
Pam: “I’m not ok with it. The whole thing makes me sick.”
Lucas: “He’s struggling to accept who he is. He’s not ready for this.”
Sonny: “I think you’re not ready for this. You’re ok with him being gay, as long as he doesn’t do anything about it.”
Arizona: “I love your daughter, and I protect the things I love. She’s who you raised her to be.”
Carlos: “Here I am, to have this dance, with my daughter.”
