For the contest, we had to make a multi-fandom video with a unique theme, so for my theme I chose ‘characters who struggled to come out to unsupportive family members’ (a bit long winded, I know).
I decided to focus on just 4 characters and their family members, some have just one family member who was unsupportive, and some have multiple. I also tried to show at the end how even though some people were unsupportive, they still had friends/boyfriends/girlfriends who were supportive and fought for them.
Characters:
~Callie Torres (Grey’s Anatomy) and her parents (predominantly her father, but I also featured some clips with her mother), Callie’s father struggled to accept her at first, as her being gay went against his beliefs, however, he eventually came to accept her sexuality and even stood up to his wife in order to dance with his daughter at her wedding.
~Will Horton (Days of our Lives) and his parents (again, predominantly his father). Whilst Will’s mum was shocked at first, she soon came around, unlike his father, who took a little longer to accept Will.
~Emily Fields (Pretty Little Liars) and her mother. Emily’s mum was at first ‘sickened’ by Emily coming out, but eventually came to accept her daughter.
~ S a n t a n a L o p e z (G l e e) and her grandmother. S a n t a n a finally plucked up the courage to tell her grandmother that she is gay, but her grandmother refused to accept it. It is unknown whether she still feels like this.

Emily: “I’m glad you’re ok with it”

I was so excited that Chandler Massey is bringing Will back that I had to make a video to celebrate! I was so heartbroken when Chandler left, and even more sad when Will was killed off, so when it was announced Chandler was returning I was so happy!

I was SO happy to see behind the scenes pics of Dean Winters on the set of SVU season 19! And even more happy to see pics of him shooting scenes with Mariska!
I loved Brian and Olivias relationship so much. They were there for each other through the worst times of their lives and it was really sweet to see their relationship grow! I was so sad when they broke up, cos it never really felt like we got any closure - I mean, they broke up by saying I love you for goodness sake!!
Im so excited to see why Brian is back in season 19, and what that means for Bensidy. Season 19 is already off to a great start!

So tomorrow Chicago PD returns for its fifth season, and I am so sad that Erin will not be a part of it. She has quickly become one of my favourite TV characters ever, and I will miss her so much!
I’ll miss seeing Erin fighting for justice on the streets of her city. I’ll miss her friendships with everyone in the intelligence unit. I’ll miss watching her and Halstead fall in love, and how their relationship might have developed. Most of all, I will miss her father/daughter relationship with Voight. It makes me so sad that she will leave not knowing that Voight might actually be her biological father, which would be the cherry on the cake of their relationship.
So this is a tribute to Erin Lindsay and her journey on the show so far (I still have hope she may return at some point down the line!)
