Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation poured a new concrete surface on the east side of the Mullan Road Bridge over I-90 in Spokane. Crews have been working since May to rehabilitate the bridge deck by removing approximately 1.5 inches of existing concrete through hydro-demolition. Crews can now begin working on the west side of the bridge and, once complete, a new 2-inch modified concrete surface will be constructed to preserve the bridge deck for years to come.
