Muir Woods National Monument is an amazing place north of San Francisco that preserves some fantastic redwood groves with dozens of massive trees. We did a 2 mile trail that took us past Founders Grove, Cathedral Grove, and Bohemian Grove. We hiked along the Redwood Creek Trail to the Hillside Trail and it was a perfect day in the park.
