In this AU Mufasa and Sarafina came a long way before they got together, at first Mufasa was going to marry Sarabi – like the tradion says – and Sarafina was going to marry Scar.
Both thought they were alright with this, but deep down were unhappy. Somehow they talked about it, and found out they want to change their future, and then they realized that they want to have a future together.
Mufasa changed the tradition, setting Sarabi – she wasn’t in love with him either – and himself free. He married Sarafina and they finally felt truly happy
Sarabi and Scar who were always secretly in love with each other could also become a couple.
