Another AU with one of my favorite couples.
Vitani is Zira and Scar's adoptive daughter, Scar chose her to be his heir before he died. Kovu in this AU was born far away from the Pridelands and Outlands, he and Vitani are not related.
Zira came up with a plan to make Vitani and Kiara friends, in secret from Simba, of course, Zira wanted Kiara to believe everything Simba told her about the outlanders is a lie, so Kiara would trust Vitani, trust Zira, trust the outlanders, help them in the future, and one day Zira could get close to the throne and take Simba down.
Close to canon idea, but this time it's Vitani and Zira is using her while both Vitani and Kiara are teens. Yeah, I know in my AUs Zira makes such plans rather often. Well, I guess it's at least logical 😅
She knows Kiara loves wandering off from the course, she gets too far all the time, and Zira arrangers the meeting between Kiara and Vitani, acting very friendly and sweet.
Kiara is open-hearted and she falls in love with Vitani from the first signt. Soon Kiara starts to escape to the Outlanders where she and Vitani play and talk. Kiara usually flees at or even before sunrise.
She didn't tell Simba about her meeting with Zira, Kiara doesn't tell him anything and it makes her worry, she knows Simba would be so angry and disappointed if he finds out.
Vitani tries to cheer her up, saying that Simba wouldn't find out, one morning she asks Kiara to visit the Priderock in secret, Kiara agrees, and they share a new dangerous special sunrise adventure.
What does Vitani feel for Kiara? Does she love her as well? Or is she just playing the role Zira taught her? It's up to you to decide, as for me yes, Vitani is falling for Kiara more and more, without clearly realising it
