The first scenes are of the CRL's CCKY #102 switching out cars in the CRL's Carson yard in Carson, IN. Only .3 miles west of here in Munger, IN is the CRL's more active Secondary Yard. CRL's Carson yard used to be the primary yard for CRL operations in Indiana but with new business deals with the Illinois Northern they needed room to expand, so they use Carson to sort cars, and Secondary to build trains. Once done switching CCKY 102 runs LHF toward the Illinois Northern's Pickney Yard to drop off the four empty center beams.
Hours later in the day, IN train M133 departed Pickney with half the train replaced. The power includes CITX 3063 and CITX 2792. This video was taken in the town of Elk Grove, IN. This part of the Illinois Northern is now separated from Metra, and runs through the neighborhood portion of the large suburb. There are a total of 6 crossings in a half mile stretch of track.
