Throughout his career, he wrote music that highlights the instrument’s clear, singing tone and its ability to convey both elegance and energy. His most significant work for the instrument is the Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314, composed in 1777 for the virtuoso Giuseppe Ferlendis.
