Above Moab in the La Sal Mountains and just West of Mount Peale, is Mount Tukuhnikivatz or as the locals call it, just "Tuk" [took] with elevation 12,482 ft., merely 200 feet lower than Peale. Local friend first mentioned Tuk when I asked her advice about climbing Peale couple years back. In fact she encouraged me to try to complete the "La Sal Beat-out".. basically tagging all the 12'ers in the La Sals in single or consecutive multi-day excursion. That's still on the list. Thank you.
