Hayden Peak, elevation 12,479 ft., per Summit Post, ".. it's easiest route is at least Class 3..". However, if you take your time, Class 2 routes can be found. Although, we did bring two ropes, we didn't use them. Thanks to Andy and Kevin for a great hike!

And for Kevin: "Uinta is derived from the Ute word Yoov-we-teuh, which means pine tree or pine forest." Also, Uinta is the North-Eastern division of the Ute Tribe."

Class 1: Hiking.
Class 2: Simple scrambling, with the possible occasional use of the hands.
Class 3: Scrambling; a rope might be carried.
Class 4: Simple climbing, often with exposure. A rope is often used.
