Just East of Fairview, Utah is the Highpoint for Carbon County named Monument Peak at an elevation of 10,452 ft. MSL. Drove Skyline Drive to just below the peak. Skyline was a nicely graded dirt road with a gravel veneer that stayed just dry enough during the torrential rain and thunderstorm that persisted on my drive to the peak. I had read, on dry days, you can easily drive all the way to the benchmark. However, since it was wet, snowy, I elected to park on the gravel road and just hike the quarter-mile up the unmaintained muddy mess to the peak.
