Mount Tammany Red Dot Trail is a 3.6 mile loop with steep, rocky terrain and postcard views over the Delaware River. This counterclockwise route climbs the Red Dot Trail to the summit, then descends the Blue Dot Trail past a waterfall before finishing on a scenic Appalachian Trail stretch. It's one of New Jersey's most popular hikes: short distance, real elevation gain, and nothing technical if you pace yourself. The loop saves your knees on the way down and hits multiple highlights without backtracking.
