Mythical pre-war record-breaking motorcycle, it officially debuted at the 1931 Milan Motor Show. The 2 VT 500, heir to the Sport 14 - a 4-stroke motorcycle which already represented a real leap in quality in 1929 and which achieved moderate commercial success - differs, as well as for the overhead valves, also for a "new and very pleasant line" mainly resulting from the new saddle tank defined by the specialized press as "of severe elegance". In a short time it was appreciated as a robust and very reliable motorcycle suitable for daily use and touring, establishing itself as the ideal means of work, for outings, for tandem riding and for towing a sidecar. Sold in 1931, the 2VT 500 is tireless, indestructible and much loved by collectors. So much so that it is one of the motorcycles most represented during the numerous vintage rallies that take place both nationally and internationally. This special model - with a double light and dark amaranth paint finish - constituted a further step forward in the technical and stylistic evolution of the Moto Guzzi of the time and still today represents a great deal for enthusiasts both in technical and historical terms.
