You may be familiar with the Genesis version of Mortal Kombat, but did you know there was an 8-Bit version? And no, I don't mean the Game Gear version (despite what the screenshots on the back of this box show), I mean the Master System version, which was released on Mortal Monday, along with the Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Gear and Game Boy versions...just not in the United States.
