NOTE: The game footage here does feature a decent amount of flickering, due to it being a Master System title played on real hardware. I don't think it rises to level of epilepsy, necessarily, but just figured I'd mention it as it was discussed in the comments.
This week, I take a look at one of the oldest Master System games, especially if you're focusing on the North American catalog. Fantasy Zone was one of the first two commercial releases for the console in North America, and it was based on the arcade game of the same name.
Before this week, I had never played the Master System version of Fantasy Zone (or any of the console based games in the Fantasy Zone franchise for that matter). But I had played the arcade version...sort of.
What did I think of it? How does it compare to the arcade version? And could I ever get past the fourth level boss? All that and more in the review.
