In this video, I give an up close and personal review of the Mora Bushcraft Black Carbon Steel Knife by Mora of Sweeden.
I honestly can't say anything bad about this knife. After beating it up a ton, it is still razor sharp. The thing I love about Mora knives is the fact that they come razor sharp and ready to use right out of the box. It came in a blister pack along with the traditional Mora plastic sheath, loop belt clip AND a standard belt clip. What I thought was even cooler was the fact that the clip and loop can be connected for added versatility.
This knife features a rubberized handle and is quite grippy even when wet. The black coating is designed to protect the blade from corrosion, although, I'm not sure how much sharpening it will take to remove it. So far I have batoned quite a bit with it and have yet to see it wear off from natural use.
The spine of this blade is ground in such a way that throws great sparks from a ferro rod, metal match, ferrocenium rod, etc.
It is made of high carbon steel and the blade is a scandi grind with a drop point blade profile.
This is a great knife for bushcraft, survival, camping, hiking, and backpacking. It is lightweight, yet robust.
