Monty Richthofen (aka Maison Hefner) walks us through his exhibition 'Cheap Hedonism' at Dittrich & Schlechtriem, on view at the Berlin gallery until March 4th, 2023.
'Cheap Hedonism' includes an immersive light and sound experience in collaboration with Yasmina Dexter in the main subterranean gallery space, accompanied by a new series of text paintings and works on paper. Richthofen dedicates himself to pop-cultural phenomena and life’s profound questions alike and in 'Cheap Hedonism,' he exposes the pitfalls of social sphere while building bridges and allowing for vulnerabilities.
