The Montreal Assembly Count to 5 is one of my all-time favorite experimental ambient pedals. It's one of the first of its kind, and has stood the test of time as one of the best pedals for ambient guitar. Each time I plug it in, I find myself going down interesting creative rabbit holes and playing to the shimmery, unexpected trails of ambience. I wanted to make this video to walk through some tips and tricks for navigating MODE 1 of the Count to 5. We'll talk about how I approach it, show some favorite sounds and settings, and demonstrate a few different contexts I like to use it in.
