This is the first of a series of videos I'm doing for Monster Hunter Wilds.
First - I've owned this game since release, but my gaming laptop couldn't run it after I reached High Rank - it would always crash on Nerscylla. I had a new PC built for me by a friend in 2026 that was more than capable of running this game and I've been enjoying it since then.
Second - in Monster Hunter and various shooting games I always play as a black female. Her name here is Susannah. A warrior, huh? She's got legs but she's always been based off of Susannah Dean from Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. I even named my Seikret after Roland's horse from "Wizard and Glass."
Third - Catrich was what we used to call our cat in 2005. I'm sure he's long gone by now, but in the game he gets to live on as my Palico.
Fourth - the other player in the game is my long time real life friend that I've known since 1992. We live 1000 miles apart but we still game together nearly every day.
Fifth - I'm not an expert god like speedrunning Monster Hunter champion. I'm competent at the games, but I'm doing this strictly for fun.
