In this Moho Pro character design tutorial, we finish the character by adding shading, highlights, back limbs, and final polish. This lesson focuses on giving the design more depth, improving the overall look of the line work, and refining smaller areas like the hair, mouth, and hands.
If you’ve been following the course from the beginning, this is where the character really comes together and starts to look animation-ready.
In this video, you’ll learn how to:
add shading to the head, hair, ponytail, neck, collar, coat, pelvis, arm, leg, and foot
use masking to keep shadows and highlights contained
add highlight shapes to the hair, face, eyelids, collar, coat, arm, pelvis, and leg
duplicate and position the back arm, hand, leg, and foot
reduce and refine line widths for a cleaner design
polish hair curves and interior line work
refine the mouth, teeth, tongue, and facial details
improve hand shapes, finger proportions, knuckles, and palm details
prepare the character for the next stage of rigging and animation
This is a great lesson for learning how to take a basic Moho Pro character and push it toward a more polished final result using simple vector-based adjustments.
