When you need to to multi-cam production, whether recorded or live streamed, and go mobile- I mean really mobile: like all on one tripod and move it around an event, there are a few ways to make it happen.
Over the course of a couple weeks, I built, and then refined my kit to record 12 multi-cam interviews on the floor of a convention where I know from experience, WiFi does not work. There's simply too much interference. So I had to connect all the devices over ethernet- and all of the infrastructure to connect the devices, the power for everything, the audio solution, and the lighting all had to be on the single tripod.
Here I walk through some of the kit- specifically covering the networking solution I used, and I discuss options and backups that I brought along as well.
