You CAN edit 4K video, with filters and effects affordably - without breaking the bank on a high end edit system. The key is to work within the constraints of your system and maximize how you leverage the capabilities your system has.

I will show you a 4K clip on the screen - three times, with a title layer, and a total of 27 filters and effects piled on top of that, and it plays in real time, with no rendering.

The video files are coming NOT from a high end attached RAID storage, not SSD drives, but from a 2-drive, mirrored (for redundancy) NAS drive and shared over Ethernet. Offering safety and redundancy of my client's footage.
