In this example, I use a half-press of the Camera's still shutter button to force the camera to autofocus while shooting video. Instead of subtly pushing and pulling the focus as a camcorder, or a camera operator would do, a still camera executes dramatic changes in the focus in order to determine where it needs to be, and then refocus itself.
If you needed the camera to autofocus while shooting video, this would pretty much ruin any shot. Best to keep it manual.
