This is one of those levels I thought I would never beat. It’s extremely hard and by far my hardest NC level, I would say it’s an extreme demon if you play on mobile (about Acu difficulty in my opinion), taking me 4468 attempts.
The predrop is really easy and really short, which is a nice thing when all of the difficulty is at the drop. The first few seconds of the wave are insane, especially the spam part at 27% which killed me a ton. The level then stays consistently hard, with every input being very precise. At 39%, the level gets even harder: the mirror portal makes you unable to tell what’s going on for a good second, and that combined with the extremely weird click pattern required to do this part makes it almost 100% reliant on muscle memory. That being said, it does get pretty consistent overtime but it’s still one of the hardest parts in the level. The dual wave right after is way easier than the previous sections but it’s nonetheless very easy to die there, the spaces are way tighter than you would expect. After that, we get to potentially the hardest timing in the level at 51%. This little wave gap is absolutely insane, I died there about 20 times, and the level stays very hard after that, with some tough spam sections. After hitting the blue mirror portal, the level gets way easier. I still somehow managed to die once right after it, once at the dual wave and once at the ship part.
Overall, this level way actually pretty fun and way more consistent than I expected. It’s still extremely hard and if you play on mobile, expect this to take you a while. When I first started practicing, I though this was completely out of reach, considering my first 48-100% run (the easier half by quite a bit) took me over 1000 attempts. Fortunately, this level gets significantly easier after tons of practice.

New hardest demon! Alright, this level doesn’t look very good, and I know Sley hates it. I think the drop isn’t too bad in terms of deco, though. The gameplay is pretty good, I had a lot of fun with this level, despite an infuriating 92% fail. The first part is just a little annoying, especially the ball timing at 3%. It took me much more attempts than the other hard levels I’ve beaten, almost 5000. This level marks the limit between insane demon and extreme demon difficulty, but I’ll call it insane. Also, according to Sley, I’m the first victor so that’s pretty cool. (Mobile) Toxicity 100% [Insane Demon] by SleyGD | Geometry Dash](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/YGQNMLUd_eU/mqdefault.jpg)

Finally a new best run! If you’re wondering why I decided to go from Osiris (one of the easiest parts), it was to get better at Shock’s part (39%) since practicing from Shock directly doesn’t really improve your consistency from 0%. Seems like that was a good idea, as I got 45%, 50% x2, 51% x3, 53% and 59% today! That 59% run is also my new best from 0% without using the TPS bypass (240tps makes this level harder for me, somehow).

This is a level Ive always wanted to beat for two reasons. Firstly, I absolutely love how it looks; Zylenoxs style is incredibly unique and the execution in this level is fantastic. It fits the song extremely well and the second half has got to be one of my favorite parts in any level, thanks to the fantastic backgrounds and foreground elements that give a sense of depth to the level. I unfortunately had to use the ULDM to avoid lag so I recommend watching a full detail showcase if you havent done that already.
Secondly, I felt like this would be the perfect level to go out of my comfort zone, as it goes against my skill set in every single way. The first part may just be the hardest part of the level: it requires about 34 inputs in just over 6 seconds, and I am incredibly bad at high CPS gameplay. What really makes it difficult is the fact that you cant aimlessly spam, you actually have to time most of these orbs. The spider part 13% tests another thing I cant do: tapping consistently. I was awful at 42-45% in Sonic Wave and I was just as bad at this spider part. My worst gamemode is undoubtedly ship, especially when it comes to straight fly sections, and the next part is exactly that. On top of that, this section uses dual ship physics, making things even harder. The wave part at 34% wasnt that hard but the spam at 43% is a massive chokepoint that got on my nerves after a while, especially considering the fact that it is immediately followed by the easiest part. This blind ship part may look difficult but it is actually very easy once you learn where the obstacles are since the gaps arent tight at all. After that, we get to the infamous wave part at 61%. This part is the reason I gave up so many times on this level: I actually tried to beat this over a year ago and it took me 2,500 attempts to do 61-100% for the first time. It is purely skill based and you dont really get consistent with it for a while, although I did end up gaining a bit of consistency (~5% pass rate at best) before beating the level. After this ridiculous difficulty spike, youd expect the ending to be quite easy (and that is probably the case for most people), but I actually had a very hard time doing the last ship part. This ship part is extremely unintuitive and easy to mess up; Im actually quite surprised I only died there 3 times.
Visually, this is a fantastic level. Unfortunately, I didnt enjoy playing it because of how bad I am at this type of gameplay. It took me an incredibly long time to build up consistency with the first half and it felt a bit unfair and luck-based at times. That being said, I definitely recommend this level if youre good at skill-based gameplay.

I dont have a lot to say about this level. Visually, its just another Nine Circles level with boring colors and very little variation so I cant say Im the biggest fan. That being said, the gameplay is absolutely fantastic. There arent any major chokepoints, almost everything gets consistent and its incredibly satisfying to play, especially the first 30% and 65-68%. I have a few issues with it though: 31-34% is a bit awkward to play (the release at 34% is extremely unintuitive), 54% is annoying, the effects at 55-58% make it very hard to see your wave which is frustrating, and I dont like the fact that the hardest and most inconsistent part of the level (72-92%) is at the end. I also dislike how hard it is to see the saws in this level.
I still think this is a very fun level and I definitely recommend it if you want to get better at wave.

Although the decoration is not that great, the gameplay in this level is absolutely incredible. It syncs and flows perfectly, it just feels so satisfying to play. The difficulty comes almost entirely from the ship parts, if I had to give you the three hardest parts they would all be ship. I don’t think this is a bad thing, you just often die to the same places. The rest gets very consistent, which allows you to get far pretty often. I recommend playing this level, which is definitely an insane demon in my opinion.

This level is fascinating to say the least. Levels known to be poorly made tend to pique my interest, which is why I’ve beaten Sword Dance, Galatic Fragility and Death Note. Although these generally loathed levels can sometimes be strangely fun (Sword Dance being the prime example), I unfortunately didn’t have the best time playing Castling. Obviously, I never expected to have fun with this level, which made the experience slightly more bearable — I knew what I was getting myself into.
Let’s move on to the actual level, shall we? In a nutshell, Castling is a medium demon with a dozen chokepoints that bump it up to extreme demon difficulty. These chokepoints are frustrating enough on their own, but the fact that the hardest ones are located in the second half of the level is the cherry on top. Second half heavy levels tend to have one major issue: playing from 0% is exceptionally boring. Ironically, this poor balancing also comes with a quality: the illusion of consistency — getting far all the time can be somewhat fun, especially if the level is fast-paced.
Moreover, I’d like to explain what makes each of the aforementioned chokepoints so difficult:
- Luckily, the hardest timing of the level is located at 4%, which makes it tolerable — it is quite annoying nonetheless. While it may not seem hard at all on a video, this jump is actually frame perfect on 144fps due to an invisible spike making it absurdly hard.
- The blue orb timing at 24% is insanely difficult, partly because you cannot see the orb until you have to hit it. That being said, it gets incredibly consistent over time.
- The ball timing at 35% however does not get consistent in the slightest.
- The dual ship at 39% is quite janky and confusing, which makes it very easy to mess up despite the timings themselves being relatively easy.
- The wave timing at 63% is already very difficult on its own, but the fact that it is located in a click-dense part makes it completely reliant on muscle memory.
- The timing at 69% is incredibly unintuitive.
- The blue orb spam at 70% is significantly harder than it looks since you also have to avoid some invisible saws. As a result, the click pattern required to get past this part is insanely awkward and hard to get used to.
- The wave input at 74% is extremely difficult to time properly because of the placement of the spikes.
- The yellow orb timing at 78% is straight up too precise.
- The jump at 91% is a nightmare. Not only is it absurdly difficult, but you can barely see it coming, which makes it mostly luck-based.
- The last wave is extremely awkward. It may not look too hard on a video, but it is full of invisible hitboxes that makes it very easy to die.
- The last jump is not intuitive at all, I unfortunately died there once.
Despite all of these chokepoints, this level is definitely not the worst thing in the world — it was actually quite fun from time to time, and I absolutely adore the song. I’m not sure I would recommend playing Castling, but I can see why some people enjoy playing it.
Lastly, I think this level is alright in terms of decoration, although it is inconsistent quality-wise. For instance, I think the last wave looks quite nice while the ship part at 79% could use a lot of work. I appreciate the unique structuring in some parts, as well as the fade and enter effects. I have nothing else to say though, as this isn’t the most creative level visually.

I hope the medium demon rating is a joke. This level took me 860 attempts and over 2 hours. This is AT LEAST a hard demon. Now about the level...Sley is amazing, and an insane creator (nowadays) but this level... Literally every single part is incredibly annoying. The first ship requires very awkward flying. The UFO is just as bad, extremely tight timings mixed with some spam here and there. Then we get to the boss fight...Which took me around an hour to learn and get consistent at. The arrows are absolutely useless, and you just need to memorize when to go up down...if it was just that, it would be fine. But no. Sometimes, you die to absolutely nothing, and some of the transitions are essentially luck. The last part is bad as well. I died 6 times there. The timings are weird and very hard. Overall, this level was...pretty catastrophic. It’s incredible how much Sley has improved since this, both in terms of design and gameplay. This was just 8 months ago, and now he releases masterpieces like Bop It or Contrast.

Despite a few annoying spots, this level was overall extremely fun. The decoration looks decent and was definitely ahead of its time, although the 2.1 rocks and lava usage didn’t age very well in my opinion. The gameplay is really satisfying all the way through. I can still name a few awkward spots, mainly 25%, 52-53%, and 86%. This level took me about 2200 attempts which is less than some insane demons I’ve beaten, however it took me a lot longer, since you get past the first few parts very often in this level. An awesome experience, I definitely recommend this level!
