Hey! I realize it’s been over two years since my last video, so I’ll start by addressing that. I chose to temporarily step away from the community to focus on school (it’s a pretty intense and time-consuming kind of school—you can look up “CPGE” if you’re curious). That being said, I really miss this game and can’t wait to come back, hopefully this summer.
As for this completion, I mainly just wanted to play the game for a bit since I’m on Christmas break, and I thankfully managed to beat the level in one session after a lucky fluke from 56%.
About Black Blizzard: it was fine overall. The gameplay is quite fun for the most part, but some timings are much harder than the rest of the level and end up carrying the difficulty. For instance, the last green orb before the drop is very frustrating.

Visually, I think this is one of the best extreme demons in the game. The decoration looks absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire level, the second drop in particular looks insanely good. Every single part captures the song’s intensity extremely well and that is mostly why I love this level so much. In terms of gameplay, this level is relatively good but it definitely isn’t perfect. First of all, the balancing is quite weird; 40-100% is incredibly consistent and easy after learning it while the first 40% is quite difficult and inconsistent — I only got past 40% 3 times from 0% and fluked the level from 57%. Moreover, the duals are unimaginably hard to learn and they never get 100% consistent which can get annoying from 0%. The predrop is also full of awkward and inconsistent timings that get a bit frustrating after a while. Lastly, I’d like to mention how learny this level is: I spent about 5 hours learning the whole thing, it honestly felt like I was playing memory demon and that’s where most of the difficulty comes from. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it isn’t the type of gameplay I enjoy the most personally. I still had a good time playing this level and I definitely recommend it.

This level features some strange parts gameplay-wise but the sync is crazy good. Definitely the most consistent insane demon I’ve ever played, making it very fun since getting far all the time is really satisfying. Not a lot to say, the gameplay here is just pretty amazing. Definitely check out this level if you haven’t, a great low end insane demon!

In terms of decoration, this has been my favorite insane demon ever since it came out. The atmosphere is simply brilliant and unlike anything I’ve seen before. It matches the song incredibly well, a song which is awesome in itself. I like the odd design and color choices as well as the structuring, those really contribute to giving this level its charm. I feel like the UFO and ball parts could’ve been more interesting, especially compared the first few parts, but this is nonetheless my favorite insane demon by a long shot in terms of decoration and atmosphere.

The gameplay is also pretty fun. I admit that it’s very unbalanced, with 16-26% and 31-32% being miles harder than the rest of the level, but unbalanced doesn’t always mean bad. It was quite satisfying getting to 16% every single attempt and I had some windows of consistency where I would get past 32% very often. The gameplay itself in those parts is insanely hard while still being fun. The other parts are also amazing gameplay-wise, although there were some strange spots here and there; overall, I love the uniqueness of the gameplay.
I would say this is a high end insane demon, it definitely doesn’t reach extreme demon difficulty, but it’s very challenging and skill based even though it looks like it would be more reliant on memory.

Honestly one of the most fun levels I’ve ever played, the sync is almost perfect and the gameplay itself is incredible. It also looks really good for its time, and I think it’s Knobbelboy’s best level. I don’t think it’s an insane demon, though : it took me around 30 minutes and just 250 attempts (200 of the attempts shown at the end are really old and didn’t help me beat the level at all, so I don’t count those). I think it’s a hard demon or maybe even a medium although I probably just got very lucky. Awesome level :)

Basically, this is a hard demon except there’s a sonic wave part in the middle of it. It makes it incredibly unbalanced but overall it’s still pretty fun. This progress doesn’t really mean anything, the part I died to is incredibly hard and I expect well over a 100 deaths past 60 before I’m able to get anywhere. I’ll try my best to beat it, and hopefully that will make it my first rated extreme demon! By the way, learning the whole level and getting this run took me about 700 attempts.")
