What ?! You can do Mario Circuit Glitch on a Kart ???
Mario Circuit Glitch was proven to be possible with the offroader in a TAS by Police over 2 years ago : youtube.com/watch?v=Jsoo1M8StI0
But the glitch was very precise, and most people didn't believe it could be done RTA.
I decided 3 days ago to try to find an alignement for this glitch which would require extremely simple inputs : No Joystick movement at all, just a simple shroom timing. And I found a good alignement for that, using the offroader.
So I made an alignement ghost, sent it to a Kart server, and less than an hour later, Soul Medley got this run : youtube.com/watch?v=fRir0qcl_3k
VNix also made the glitch the same day several times, and he even got relatively close to getting the 3lap Kart WR.
To help people beat the 3lap Kart WR, I decided to take a look at a slightly faster vehicle than can also do wallclips : the Tiny Titan. So yesterday, I searched for an alignement that would work with the Tiny Titan, quickly found one, made an alignement ghost, shared on the kart server, and once again, in less than an hour, Soul Medley made it.
I tried the glitch RTA myself aswell, and made it 3 times in about 20min. I was attempting to get the FLap Kart WR, and got it on my 3rd attempt. (this run)
Congrats to everyone who have made this new glitch so far !
Also shun recently got the glitch aswell, and managed to beat the 3lap Kart WR with it. So we have a new 3lap Kart Category !
Advice to make the glitch : Use the shadow of the vehicle to line up your position precisely with the ghost. And use the "MARIO" text on the finish line banner to line up your facing angle precisely with the ghost. With those 2 visuals, you can get a very very good precision for the glitch setup, and all you'll need to do is reverse, and time your shroom correctly.

Another track where Karts are faster than Bikes !
When I started TASing Maple Treeway with a Kart, I just wanted to make a cool 3lap Kart TAS for this track. I was a bit shocked when I realized Kart had potential to beat the Bike BKT here.
Karts are fast here because they can take the turnskip much better than Inside Drift Bikes, because of how you get redirected forward when doing the turnskip on Outside Drift.
The other reason is the ending of the track, you can carry a lot of EV (gained with gravity) from the bridge, to the net, to the finish line.
The 2nd part of the track (from the turnskip to the end) is very difficult to optimize, and can still be improved most likely.
For this whole section, a lot of the time is gained by maximizing the EV you have and I dont currently understand precisely how to maximize it.
This is why I developed a tool to add random modifications to my inputs, and automatically keep the modifications that increased my EV. I used this tool a couple time at the 2nd half of each lap, and it helped me get more speed.
Lap1 net was fast, but didnt carry a lot of EV, this is why I charge a MT into lap2 instead of doing some hops.
Lap2 net was fast and carry a lot of EV, so I was able to carry a bit of EV into lap3 by doing some hops (its a bit faster than getting the MT like on lap1)
Lap3 net was slow, but carried a lot of EV.
Lap3 is slower than lap2 because lap2 got an extra MT at the beginning of the lap, lap3 had to lose time avoiding the wigglers, and lap3 had a worse net.
