Mansi Makes | Mixed Media Color Play Hand Bound Book @MansiMakes | Uploaded April 2021 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
I just recently enjoyed a free class on mixed media color by Wendy Schkolnick Solganik and combined my colorful explorations with book-binding techniques learned from Understand Blue. I also used Tania Talat Ahmed's free downloadable affirmations, some washi tape, vellum stickers and a touch of embroidery to bring this book together.
It's been such an enjoyable process creating each of these pages and then binding them together. I'm learning new things about myself, too, as I engage with paper in a more tactile way, learn the difference between opacities of various Liquitex Artist Materials acrylics and Dr. Ph. Martin's acrylic inks, and figure out Sennelier oil pastels.
I hope you're enjoying watching the evolution of my artistic journey just as much as I'm enjoying being on it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
If you'd like to take Wendy Schkolnick Solganik's course, be sure to sign up for her newsletter: https://willawanders.carrd.co.
