Preparing MITRANO Solution 1 validation exercise at #EIH the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub - moving from the planning to the execution phase ✈️
👉 Last week we worked on preparing an exercise to validate a new operating method and technical improvements for the management of mission trajectory in the execution phase with revisions triggered either by civil or military ATCOs or by the military airspace user.
Participants included experts from EUROCONTROL (Civil-Military Cooperation team & EIH), PANSA, AIRBUS and INTEGRA as well as military ATCOs & mission controllers from Germany, France & Spain.
The session addressed:
✅ Civil-military ATCO procedures & coordination for military flights under OAT rules
✅ HMI requirements and the scenario & use case definitions
✅ Preparing EIH's ESCAPE simulation platform
⏪ Previously, in late 2024, we had already performed an exercise focusing on the planning phase to test the integration of shared military ATM data within collaborative traffic flow & capacity management processes.

🔜 What's next? Two sessions are scheduled in May and September at EIH for acceptance testing, followed by a real-time simulation in October.
