One of the most anticipated updates to Minecraft - Minecraft Beta 1.7 - was just released a couple of hours ago. Already we have seen an update to 1.7 as there were many initial bugs (some of which are covered in this video). This video examines the new features of the update:

- The long-awaited Pistons
- Sheers
- Removable TNT
- Usable leaf blocks
- A new texture for cobblestone and brick blocks
- The ability to place fences and torches on top of fences, and;
- Better connectivity between redstone dust and redstone repeaters
