This design is nothing ground-breaking and I'm sure someone has probably made this before me, but nevertheless I thought it was a cool design and I wanted to share it.

I know many people are thinking "Why would you need one of these? Minecraft worlds are made with millions of stone blocks!". However, there are certain situations in which devices like this can be extremely useful. These generators will be particularly useful when we find a way to automatically break blocks.

This differs from ordinary cobblestone generators in that it actually produces SMOOTH stone - not cobblestone. Note, however, that once you mine the stone it will be turned into cobblestone. You might ask yourself why you would want to generate smooth stone then. Well, because it takes a lot less time to mine.
