Was in the mood to make another video and thought I'd show you guys a project of mine that's all but finished.

This system allows you to relatively safely produce the two records, or music discs, available in Minecraft. It does this by allowing you to choose what type of mob you have, choose where it is in relation to you, and hold them still while they kill each other.

The system also takes the hassle out of removing unwanted mobs from the minecart by killing them for you. Initially I wanted to use Etho's flaming minecarts for this as it was a really elegant solution to the issue of how to empty the carts. Unfortunately mobs in flaming minecarts don't take damage as Etho suggested and so I had to go with a much less elegant solution.

The redstone controlling the killing system can distinguish between when an empty cart comes in and when a cart with a mob comes in. When the cart is empty (for example, when the cart hadn't picked up a mob) the system will instantly pass it down the line to collect a new mob. When a cart comes in holding a mob (for example, when the cart had picked up an unwanted mob - like a zombie), the system will pause until the unwanted mob is dead before sending the cart to collect another mob.

Although the system is functional, it does have the occasional bug as it's not completely finished.
