I'm so thrilled that one of the most popular browser games right now is a rhythm game that finally puts all my teenage hours of Flash Flash Revolution to use! Alpharad, Altrive, and Fyrus told me about this game a few weeks ago and I've been obsessed with the music since blasting through the whole game and the b-sides in one sitting. I knew that I just HAD to cover one song and MILF was just begging for a guitar remix. It was fun to get to rock it with my roommate Jack (ToxicxEternity) because it lent itself so well to a call and response guitar battle just as well as it did a rap battle. Of course we also had to get Adriana in there as the GF.
I'm really excited to see how much hype there is for guitar covers of this soundtrack because I had a lot of fun with this one. It was a great opportunity to play with new tones, mixing techniques, and electronic drums so I'd love to do more. Let me know down below what else you'd like to see from the game in this style!

Going through the last two years of my YouTube channel, Ive noticed just how many people attached to my Fire Emblem Three Houses and how Ive convinced myself Ive run out of them only to realize just how many amazing themes this game has that I still havent touched. This one in particular was one that happens very breifly in the game that I thought was so odd that I got so many requests for that it took until I finally decided to buckle down and see what I could do with it, did I realize how absolutely brilliant this song truly is. I had a LOT of fun putting this one together.
My brother just left from his visit to San Diego and hes been helping me film a lot of these videos. Its been really fun having a new perspective on interesting approaches to how I make these and also fun to take on extra challenges with the visual aspect. He thought the zoom in shot that transferred between tripods and lens in the solo would be cool so we tried it out and had a blast ironing it out in premiere. Let me know what you thought of the visuals on this one!
I really sucked a lot of the color and saturation to match the vibe of when this happens in the game, but unfortunately San Diego doesnt really rain much so we made do with what we had. Im still super proud of this and really excited to bring you guys more Fire Emblem! Enjoy!

I tossed and toiled over what to do this year for the holiday season. Something Im really starting to realize is when youve been doing video game music on YouTube for 10 years, you quickly run out of christmas/winter themes that havent been done yet since theyre all so good and easy to blow through in the first 2-3 years. Instead of hitting up a song Ive done before, I wanted to give the gift of a game Ive never covered before with one of my favorite winter themes ever!
Forgive the beard, Ive been doing a challenge over at http://www.twitch.tv/familyjules where Ive been streaming speedruns of Banjo Kazooie 100% everyday and Im not allowed to shave until I hit my goal. Its been extremely difficult being able to do weekly covers, my outside commission work, and daily streams all at the same time during such a wacky holiday season. This cover was very close to not being finished in time having only finished it maybe hours before needing to upload to YouTube. I hope you guys enjoy how it came out all the same!

The first release of the Tricky mod was my favorite of the mods that had come out simply for the amazing second track in it, so I was super excited to play the full four song week when it was released. I was so blown away by this song but for the first time in a while I had NO idea how Id pull it off for a cover. Without any idea in mind I just sat down and took it on and pulled it off as best I can.
This was an incredibly difficult cover to pull off this week. Not just because the song is tough but because we chose this past week to get our first puppy and she has been very needy, but since shes so cute its been pure suffering to be away from her any additional minute than I need to. Filming the video was a struggle because of the time constraint and the memorization needed for this song, so I opted again to film this one myself. Im hoping to make this the normal format for videos since having a warm body and human hands film is tough for every week.
I tried to compensate with some really fun effects in post on this one. There is TONS of audio glitching and video effects on this one which were much easier to sink time into while there was a dog in my lap (periodically sinking teeth into me since shes so puppy). Anyway, enjoy and I promise Marnie the puppy will be in a video very soon!

This was one song while playing that I was really excited to learn how to play. I think its pretty obvious the similarity between this and F-Zero music and I was most looking forward to arranging this because F-Zero music is some of my biggest influence to be a guitarist in general!
The band for my upcoming tour that starts tomorrow is here and weve been practicing hard for it (begins tomorrow in San Diego!). Its been a bit challenging to balance doing weekly covers while preparing for this tour but I hope the quality meets your expectations!
