Mid-day Radiance was the title I gave to this little wave painting.
It’s hard to describe the electric quality of the water in Albany, Western Australia. After my several visits to the region, I can hardly get it out of my mind. I’ve had some look at the clean blue colour in disbelief, but it’s even more punchy than what I’ve painted here.
I think this could be a bigger painting. Though I’m currently working on New Zealand subjects, Australia still holds a special place in my heart. I’ll always revisit and reflect on my time there.
