Experiment #457: Clothespins
(Rated G) Microwaving a clothespin seems like a fairly low key kind of idea compared to my recent ones, like something I would have done way back in seasons 2-3. But now that I film in HD, it looks a lot better than it would have previously and I did five clothespins instead of just one. Plus it was for May Day, I wanted to bestow my humble sacrifice upon the gods of YouTube. I want to see this go viral! I based the idea on The Wicker Man on the final scene with Sumer Is Icumen In, although the only thing that died in this May Day celebration was a microwave plate. This was very similar to microwaving a pencil or steel wool, hence why I gave this one only an unsafe verdict instead of a dangerous, although it was close, it wasn't toxic smoke and the fire was very easy to extinguish. Still not a good idea to try at home due to the fact that it did break the plate. But this is proof that the simple little things can produce the best results. I just had a bunch of clothespins that I hadn't used so I microwaved some, and I'm glad I did. As far as I know, this hasn't been done by any other major microwave show so it's a semi-first. There was a video on here by a small channel back in the day, but that person has since closed their account. And that was just one single clothes pin, not multiple clothes pins. What it was is the fact that it was wood and metal that led to these epic results. This was almost as plasma-heavy as the laser pointer was. It's really quite amazing how many things have caught fire this season. If all goes according to plan, the season finale (done later this month) will be VERY fiery. Ask if you want to know. Microwave Me, now in its 16th season is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 700-watt Rival microwave.
