We got a new league running with three tiers (the third is split into two divisions), double round-robin style over the course of several weeks for this first season. I am in Tier 1 facing Hephlex at Peach's Castle Gardens. We both try off-meta characters with me going with Birdo and he picks DK. I went with Birdo since her stats fit PCG's holes very well while still being barely strong enough to try for eagles. DK is very strong and some of the fairways are big enough to contain him but Hephlex was playing hooky today. A fun game, to be sure.
I will play Toasty and BigNick next week to complete the first Round Robin before we repeat on other courses and player orders. 4-1 through 5 with a +5 hole differential is nice.
