WE'VE GOT TO HAVE - MONEY!
A format that I had originally derided can actually become insanely tactical if played in a more seriously competitive environment. Coin Attack has two modes: Quick Cash, which gives you two shots under par to get as many coins as possible on a hole - OB is fair game. This submission is for Cash Cup, in which you collect as many coins as possible - but you must obtain Par or better to keep them. In a way, many routes start to feel like Ring Attack with the detours you can take to maximize your collections.
Normal coins are worth 1; S-coins allow you to collect all coins in a cluster, which can range from 24-73; red coins start appearing on hole 7 or 8 and are worth 10; blue coins worth 20 start appearing on 13; platinum coins worth 40 are only on hole 18.
Oddly enough, I got this first try - kind of. I did some offline scouting, but when I went live, I tried this to take a break from PCG, and then got this first try. Lots of coins in weird places, especially at the end. Very good fortune for most of this run. I don't have a reason to return here for a while.
