My Massey Ferguson GC2300 Awesome Tractor is in the shop for some spring time maintenance.
One problem I have is the treadle pedal has been very hard to push the last couple of times I have been out plowing. And not only is it hard to press, the tractor doesn't seem to be going as fast as it once did.
Do I have hydraulic drive problems? Oh my - I sure hope not - because that'll cost and arm and a leg to get repaired.
I have a side story here too. Some time ago I lost my favourite pliers. They were offset needle nose pliers and I used them most all the time. I have searched the shop form top to bottom trying to find them with no luck.
When I started to investigate why the treadle pedal was hard to push I checked the shaft and pivot point. All looked good there. Then I noticed the 4 wheel drive selection lever and the 3 point raise and lower lever were moving when I was pressing on the treadle pedal. I checked under the floor pan to see if I could see some kind of connection between all three of these pieces.
And VOILA!! I found my needle nose pliers and the fault of why the treadle pedal was so hard to press!! Have a look and see what was up!!
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. Please 'thumbs up' me and leave me some comments. And if you haven't done so already, please consider 'subscribing' to my channel. It sure helps my videos get noticed and my channel grow. I hope you all have a great week.
