Sorry I sound so bored. :/ Marvel at the coin not at my lame narration.
Anyway, shield type 4 Reales Mexico Mint. Onate series, early type, 1571-1578 (with possible later dates being issued under 1578-1589 by Bernardo's son, Luis de Onate also as "O". I tend to believe Bernardo's coinage was the nicer types of this series as they would have been struck from the newer dies, and closer in style to the late series issues of O and the the later issues showing a lesser quality of workmanship and closer in style to early oF)
But I could be wrong. Just an opinion of mine based on study.
