All you need is a Mylar Space blanket sold at just about any store for 1-2$, scissors and Rubber bands to hold it.

Tested on my Canon 650D in full daylight, using 2 sheets to cover and again at 1hr before sunset test 2 and 1 sheet. Works fantastic!
UPDATE: Captured FANTASTIC images of the entire eclipse. This filter cost me 2$. 1$ for the space blanket and 1$ for a bag of rubber bands.
