This run renders the previous low% run I uploaded obsolete due to skipping the spider ball, thus adhering to the strict rules of low% entirely. MetroidMcfly brought a video from M2K2 to my attention of the infinite bomb jump, so it made it a no brainer to redo this run properly.
My main gripe with this run was only finding out that I could greatly improve the method to IBJ after some way into the run. So at many points in the earlier parts you'll see the more slower, standard method. Had everywhere contained the best method this run would probably be very close in time to the last run, about 1:05:50.
Aside from the ibj mistakes mentioined this run puts great emphasis on being as fast and as entertaining as possible, clutching areas with extremely low health and then some heavy rng manipulation went into getting health and ammunition back as quickly as possible. So although what occurs in this run is not outside the realm of possibility, much of it is pretty ludicrous and a player can quite easily choose to take many parts safer. That is, this theory TAS could unjustly persuade the player into thinking it's a harder category than it really is. I'd love to see runs of this someday, and i see no reason why a player wouldn't be able to make it to the Queen regularly. The final battle really is the make or break of the run though unfortunately. Samus is so underpowered you have to risk it all to survive but it's not impossible. You have a chance to escape the room if things go bad (i like how the devs did that :)) , refill your health and ammo and try again. The run is about survival after all and this could quite honestly just make it even more epic.

![Turok 2 Remastered - 100% - Hardcore in 1:29:32 [WR]
Previous pbs leading up to this one: 13120, 13054, 12959 and 12951. The 129 was easier to achieve than initially thought as I found a massive route change for backtrack segment that saves 20 seconds. Entering the Lair for Heart of Fire immediately after Mother boss and thus only needing a total of 3 checkpoint visits as you travel across the levels and finishing with the Hive to kill the Queen before Primagen. As I kept grinding this I could see a 128 possibility along with my sum of best getting as low as 1282x as well. I even had one such run reaching the Lightship with 12848 best possible pace which unfortunately died unceremoniously but my main goal for a while though was to get a mid 129 as I felt that would be satisfactory. As mentioned most runs, especially runs on pace on Hardcore can die in extremely abrupt ways and it was starting to wear on me a bit. This run is by no means particularly brilliant to me. Its a run of two halves with the first being mediocre containing weird mistakes with the 2nd half much better and golding backtrack, sealing the deal on the mid 129. To sum it up im both happy that I achieved the goal but not entirely happy with the overal performance.
