Iron Hands have a somewhat unfair reputation for being boring. Black armour, a little silver... and you're done. But there's plenty of ways you can put a little life into what is essentially a black and white colour scheme! With a little warmth in your bases, the Marines will look all the more austere and severe as well.

BASE:
A thick layer of Stirland Mud right over all the bits you want to be mucky - go over the stupid Chaos helmet on the base if you don't want it! Drybrush heavily first with Golgfag Brown, then lightly drybrush Tyrant Skull over both the sand and the exposed stonework to tie it in. Add tufts you like, and done!
