Following a fire onboard the Dutra Group’s trailing suction hopper dredge Stuyvesant in late 2024, the mission was clear: get the dredge fixed and back in service as quickly as possible. Enter Devin Smith, VP of Commercial Programs, and his team at McCullough Engineering (MES), who were able to assemble a team, assess the damage, formulate a plan and work together with BAE Jacksonville and Dutra to put his valuable asset back to work by mid-2025.
