Nevey transferred from a leadership role at a cruise line to WSF 4.5 years ago, in the teeth of a pandemic. Earlier this year, Japan’s BEMAC completed the deal to become majority stakeholder in The Switch, an acquisition providing the proverbial ‘win-win’ for both sides, as BEMAC [along with partner Mitsui] got a leg-up on modern electric solutions for ships, while The Switch saw benefits from the assets of a much larger organization and an entrance into the difficult-to-penetrate Japanese shipbuilding market.
