One of my absolute most favorite things about Shield is the relationships. And of those relationships my favorites are probably the three main pairings. FitzSimmons, SkyeWard, Phillinda. The sad thing is that (spoiler!) SkyeWard isn’t exactly part of it anymore. (I know a lot of people are hopeful that it’ll come back, and so am I, I just don’t see how.)
I wanted to make a video about those three pairings and about how there is one member of each pairing that is known to yearn for the other. Of FitzSimmons, Fitz. Of Skyeward, Ward. Of Phillinda, May. In this video, Fitz, Ward, and May are focused on more than the others (or at least that’s what I was going for). I love how they yearn after their pairing partner. It might seem like I focused on FitzSimmons a tad more, because hey, they’re my favorite of all, and also Fitz embodies the concept of yearning more than anyone else, and more than most characters I know.
It’s kind of funny, I started this video way back around when 2x04 came out. I made most of the video before the mid-season finale and then got sidetracked and only now got around to finishing it. But the video is really about their relationships in season 1 and in season 2A. It’s crazy how much has changed since I started making this video. FitzSimmons went down and up and down and up. SkyeWard has well… we won’t talk about them (it makes me sad). Phillinda… ok Phillinda is the same. (wouldyoutwogetmarriedalready?)
So this has become a reminiscing video. It’s probably the last video for a while that will contain mostly season 1. I’m determined to edit season 2 this summer. (I’m excited!)
This is the last video (I think) in my Atlas: Space series. Fun fact: this was the first video I started with an SAL song and it’s the last I’m finishing. Figures.
Editing Comments:
I knew this video wasn’t going to be fast paced or anything, so I worked hard at the colors. I started out wanting to give the video a dark, melancholy look and also a space look. The space look didn’t work out but the dark shadows did. I’d probably consider this my prettiest liveaction video yet? Maybe. I’m proud of the colors. And everything is in slow motion because it just works with Sleeping At Last so well. This was mostly a random edit to get some pairing feels out. It ended up being a longer project and one I’m actually pretty proud of.
News:
I have many plans for Shield videos. I want to make a season 2 action video, an emotional journey video, a phillinda video, more fitzsimmons stuff… Unfortunately I end up making about a fifth of the ideas I actually come up with. I hope you like the ones I choose to make.
I will have a few other anime-related things coming out as well because I have lots of old projects I hope to complete! But I’m currently not starting any new anime-related projects (although that could change once SnK season 2 comes out!)

This makes two depressing uploads in a row! I didnt do that on purpose xD This video is simple but I couldnt really make it more effect-ful when I tried to. The song just doesnt go well with a lot of effects... I hope you all enjoy though, even though its a simpler one.
This video was really interesting for me to make... To be honest when I started it, it was late at night and I had zero inspiration. I opened up my vegas but I figured Id close it the next second because I didnt really want to edit... But once I started, for some reason I couldnt stop. Inspiration zapped me like a lightning bolt! I dont think its ever happened to me the way it did. Ive never really liked Xion and Roxas as a couple that much and editing them isnt super-duper fun for me but this time it was! I think its because of Daughters music. Maybe its just me but, Ive never encountered music like hers... Her song was AMAZING to edit to! Since the music plays a lot while youre editing I had this very sad song playing a lot and I started to feel very sad! O_O I dont even care that much about Xion but I was feeling very sad and depressed from this video! Maybe this sounds weird but it was the coolest thing ever! This song just had such a feel to it, it made me depressed just from listening to it and editing at the same time. xD Daughter is so awesome! Yeah, you probably all think Im crazy now, but Ive never had this happen to me before.

Spoilers for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season One.
This description is mostly me jabbering about FitzSimmons. And it contains SPOILERS for ALL of Season 1~! Youve been warned.
When I get obsessed with a pairing I tend to vid them. Quite a bit. This is my second FitzSimmons video and it wont be my last. I have another coming, actually a very big one and its a lot less depressing than my others. ^^
By episode 21, I started thinking of songs to use for a FitzSimmons video because I knew whatever happened in the finale, I would want to edit it. I tried not to expect things in the finale because I dont want to disappoint myself in any way. I was certainly not disappointed.
I honestly did not need there to be any kind of confession. Them facing a life-or-death situation was enough for me. I would have been fine if there was no confession until season two. Im pretty pessimistic ^^; and Ive seen time and time again in shows where characters get together early and they never work out. The writers get bored with them. So actually, I dont want to FitzSimmons to get together for a long time! Because I couldnt bear the writers getting bored with them and breaking them up. O O
But anyway, in spite of not needing that in the finale...it was absolutely amazing. Everything about their part blew me away. I really didnt expect Fitz to say what he said and then what happened fdjak;fdja;kfj It freaked me out so much. And then theyre showing the team and theyre having fun and Coulsons cracking jokes and half of me is laughing and the rest of me is screaming WHAT ABOUT FITZ!!!!? I dont think Ive ever been so traumatized by a single moment in a TV show. O O Lets put it this way. Ive seen some sad stuff in my shows but I dont cry, I hold it in until later. Because I watch TV with someone (coughMybrother) and so of course I dont want to cry right there. =.= And if I ever do I conceal it. But the moment when the glass blew in, I was trying to contain it but I actually sobbed out loud because it freaked me out so much. I never do that. EVER. That is how hurt I was by that scene! And Im sure Im not the only one. *sigh*... Thank goodness I dont have to wait forever to find out what happens. But Im a bit scared to. ^^; We all are. [Edit from months later: WHy did I just say that? The sumer hiatus was the LONGEST SUMMER EVER.]
EDITING COMMENTS
The previous video I did (Gone away awhile) was centered on Simmons. Thats because at the time, Simmons was the more central character to their pairing (at least it seemed that way to me. This was around T.R.A.CK.S. btw.) And obviously that changed. I think its going to keep changing back and forth and I hope it continues because I LOVE it. Well since the last part of the season was focused more on Fitz, I wanted this video to be more focused on Fitz than Simmons. Its supposed to depict their relationship through the show (depressively). Man, back when I made Gone away awhile, there were so few clips to use. And now theres so many I cant even use them all and its just so great! Im looking forward so much to the new season (who isnt?) because Im expecting the next part to be centered on Simmons.
To go back to what I was saying earlier, I HAD to make a video with the finale scene after I saw it. I know I didnt use the full scene but that was to keep from disrupting the flow (and also I dont really like the part where Simmons is talking about death because Im a Christian and it makes me very sad that she doesnt believe in heaven or God, but hey thats TV for you.)
I know this video is simple. I barely used effects at all because I just wanted to edit and get my FitzSimmons feels out. I wasnt even sure if I would have the inspiration to finish, but Im glad I did. I hope it turned out to be a good depiction of them.
Oh and heres something kinda fun. When I heard before Ep 21 that FitzSimmons were gonna do the box scene I was SO excited. A while before that Id heard that the scene they used to audition was a scene never put into the show where they both get trapped in a box. I thought that was so awesome and actually wrote a fanfiction based off the idea (because yes Im a fitzsimmons girl). And then to find out they were putting it in the show!? I was jumping up and down. And then ragtag happened and I was just staring at the TV thinking this was NOT what I thought the box would be! I dont want this! T T But it was amazing. Terrible, but amazing. And much better than my fanfiction.
