This is my first S.H.I.E.L.D. (in general) video! I did a FitzSimmons one and then I had to do one for all the characters.
So if you're randomly watching this because you're subbed to me, you may not know what this is. Not that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't well known but...it hasn't quite gotten famous yet. The full title of the show is Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and that should mean something to you if you've seen any of the Avengers movies. Phil Coulson? Stabbed by Loki? Any of that ring a bell? If it doesn't that means you haven't seen those movies, and you are deprived, and you must go see them NOW.
But I'm sure anyone reading this has and is waiting for me to cut to the chase. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about the organization S.H.I.E.L.D. which deals with supernatural occurrences and keeps them away from the public. REALLY it's about Agent Coulson whose come back from the dead (quite literally) and is getting back into the field with a brand new team he's put together himself. From the outside it looks like a show about people who aren't superheroes that deal with superheroes...and do different cases each episode.
It's not. At all. About half way into the show the procedural stuff goes away and the cases become pretty nonexistent. I'm sure there will still be different cases for them to do, especially in season two...[Edit: HAHA. LOL. I'm crying.] but this is a story show. Personally, I love that.
It's a story about an unlikely team who are thrust into some of the craziest situations ever. They learn to trust each other, learn their own strengths and weaknesses...and then a lot of terrible things happen to them. Go watch it. It is AMAZING. And it has so much of that Marvel vibe to it.
And who knows, maybe one day Hawkeye or Black Widow will show up. (Ha! I wish!)

I love shield because of its characters. I love the story and the excitement and the fact that it doesn't have to be smutty like some shows out there, but really I love the characters. In episode one, none of them seemed very interesting to me (besides Coulson). By episode six I was changing my mind, starting with Fitz and Simmons. I love all of them now and I have for a long time (yes, even Ward xD). I've had shows where I've really liked some of the characters, but I've never had one where there were six main characters and I liked all of them so much. Also, I don't think I've liked a liveaction pairing so much before. I don't want to speak too soon but...FitzSimmons beats all my past liveaction pairings. And then you have SkyeWard and Coulmay (or Phillinda, whatever xD). They're so great! Now hopefully the writers don't mess them up! (well Skyeward umm...hehe.)

I actually edited most of this video before ep. 16. Before Ward! So I had to change things half way through and that's also why you don't see much of the finale. This video is a little late to the party though, because I've been working on other things.

It took a while to pick a song too, and the one I picked might seem random. I really wanted to edit with this song though. I first heard this song in my friend's video, actually my favorite video of hers. With this video I wanted to convey the change that took place in the show. That's a theme I may end up using in more than one video, because it's what I LOVE about this show. Shield went from being about a new team trying to get along to a team trying to survive when everyone is out to get them. That's what I wanted to show here -- the transformation. I put a bit of emphasis on Skye because that's how it is in the story. I also wanted to give every relationship its little spotlight, and I'm not talking about pairings here. There are so many unique relationships in this story. Coulson and Skye's father-daughter relationship, May and Ward, Simmons and Skye as friends, Fitz and Ward as bros. It's all great. And of course the main three pairings. They are the only ones I truly ship in shield. That's another reason I love this show so much. The pairings are epic and canon.
