2023 is here! \(^o^)/

Before I did the "editing appreciation challenge", I did a "MEP reel" kinda thing (back in 2018) for all of my favorite MEP parts I edited plus some extras for variety. So I'm back to doing that now for the end of the year! (Though at the point I'm actually making a thumbnail and making this public, January is over...) XD

Time is kinda crazy.
So in 2022 I didn't really accomplish any of my goals I'd set for myself... But anyway. XD

What did happen in 2022 to Lauren, you may ask? (You probably didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you XD)
I think I edited more personal projects than I have before! I finished 8 actual personal projects, and then 12 worm/birthday/secret santa edits! I also have quite a few edits that I started and didn't finish... one of which is over 3 minutes long asjkdfh
I also hosted a grand total offffff............ 22 completed projects, mostly ones for MiraculousLovePairings.

So in February, we lost my mom's cat Jasmine. She was our oldest cat... Then on May 27th, our Scarlett suddenly has a seizure and organ failure in the middle of the night and we had to say goodbye to her... We currently have five cats, but we also found out this month that Amber has cancer. She has a tumor blocking her intestines, so she gets sick every time she eats because it can't be properly digested...

In May I went to Florida with my parents and was able to go to Disneyworld with my dad!!! It was so much fun and I desperately want to go again. ToT I also wish I'd been able to enjoy the trip just a little bit more though because right when I got back home was the end of my biology class and anatomy & physiology 1 class, and I was majorly behind on homework for biology... Like last day of class pulled an all nighter and worked for like 15 hours to just get the assignments done rip.

My aunt came out here in May. In June my brother bought a condo with my grandpa's help! I also got 10 inches of my hair chopped off. In August, my brother and I went to a convention and had a lot of fun. Then in September my aunt flew out here with my grandpa's new baby Ragdoll, General! He had also met Admiral and decided that he wanted him as well, so when my cousin flew out here a few days later she brought Admiral. This year my grandpa lost both his Essie and Catsanova. My grandparents got them when I was five, so they were the oldest kitties in the family. He really loves his two boys though.

October 1st was the baby shower for my little nephew! We had to get a hotel room because it was down where her parents are, and I ended up with my own room because my great aunt and uncle couldn't make it. Then on October 21st, my baby nephew arrived early! I was able to leave work early and meet him. He was also named after my (and my brother's) grandpa.

Then in November, my best friends bridal shower and bachelorette party happened. My mom and I drove out to Missouri for it. Her wedding was on December 10th, also in Missouri!

That's basically it for 2022... I also worked a lot. On July 21st, I was made full time at Hobby Lobby. It was a very nice pay increase from part time to full time, but also a lot more hours which has been difficult with classes, editing, and life.

But as far as editing, I'm pretty happy with how most of my parts turned out this year! \(^o^)/

Now onto 2023...
As for goals this year now, one of them is to edit less. That's right, edit less. I really want to keep on editing a bunch of MEP parts and edit more personal projects, it just isn't working with time and stress... Working full time, taking at least one college class at a time (I may only have physics which is happening now and medical terminology left for the moment though!), and trying to live life is asdkjfh

My new personal goals are to lose weight (as usual lol), get A's in my classes, save money, and make a firm decision for my career. I'm going to apply to a cardiac ultrasound technician program, and the deadline to apply is the end of this month. Then there's a big interview process and I'll know if I'm accepted in March. If I am accepted, the program starts in June. It is said to be a "very intense program". Honestly I'm not sure that I'll be accepted though. The four people I met that were accepted last year are really passionate about sonography, and I just don't think I measure up to that. We'll see how it goes! I submitted everything already, so I'll find out if I make the interview processes in just a few days.

ANYWAY. Yup. Idk what else to say.
We'll see where 2023 leads me lol
